How We Work

Preliminary Research

Meeting new people and working with all kinds of new businesses is one of our favorite things about running an agency. To start, we like spending time on the phone and in person, getting to know you and your business.

Over the years we've found it helpful to make the first few conversations about goals. Yours personally and those of your business. From there, we look at the biggest, juiciest opportunities for growth and execute there first. Delivering returns in the early stage of the relationship helps build trust and familiarity. It just gets better from there.

Strategies

Like our grandma always said: "If you don't know where you're going, stay where you are." We like to start strategy talks with a detailed survey of your current digital assets:

  • website
  • mobile app
  • local search listings
  • backlink profile
  • press or PR efforts.

From there, strategy is careful admixture of two dearly held business development principles: Enhancement and Expansion. We'll look at building on what you've already accomplished, and evaluate opportunities to introduce new technology and move into new markets or market segments.

Concepts

Meeting new people and being invited to work with all kinds of new businesses is one of our favorite things about running an agency. To start, we like spending time on the phone and in-person, getting to know you and your business.

Deliver

You can have as much or as little involvement as you like in the campaign delivery process. Our account managers oversee strategy, execution and reporting on a day-to-day basis and make sure the relationship is healthy, happy and successful. They'll be the ones to:

  • take the initial call and help with training & education
  • delivering presentations and proposals
  • participate in monthly/quarterly/yearly performance reviews
  • make speeches, roasts & toasts

Fancy the chance to speak with one of these remarkable creatures? Contact our accounts team using the handy 15-second contact form or email the accounts team direct on accounts [at] 1stonilnesolutions.com.

Launch

Launch day is where our curious and meticulous natures best shine through. For design and content projects, assets are uploaded to secure test environments prior to well in advance of go-live date and, by this point, we've tinkered to our heart's content. We ask clients to pre-approve changes from a test environment or strategy document, and "Launch" is more a deeply satifying, pressing-the-big-red-button feeling than anything else. We chose the spaceship icon for a reason - it's where we see all of our time, tinkering and technology go shooting off into the great wide open. Pretty special stuff.

Analytics & Reporting

Good analytics requires input from both sides of the aisle. We have analysts that can recommend a solution appropriate to your business goals and and online presence--usually Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics--and development staff to help with implementation.

The more business data you're able to share, the better the reporting we deliver. Depending on your business vertical and search/design goals, we regularly report on:

  • natural search rankings & visibility
  • local search rankings & visibility
  • channel-attributable online revenue
  • user engagement metrics (bounce rate, time on site)
